Friends of Woody

Woody has many friends. In life he had a number of circles of friends, some of which became connected only after his death. And even not having had the privilege of knowing Woody in physical life should not disqualify one from counting oneself a 'friend of Woody.' Woody's influence can be felt even if one didn't know him directly, as one author wrote about.

What does it mean to be Woody's friend? Perhaps just taking some tangible action to support his values, like writing a letter to the press, government offices, other organizations, to protest the taking of his life or to bring attention to the broader issue of the militarization of policing, or to highlight the even broader issues of intolerance of diversity and violence as a solution to all problems. We hope to provide more resources here in the future to help bring more people into the circle of Woody's friends.

There is a contact list of some of Woody's friends with online presence.
