Jim Hoffman Remembers Woody
Jim Hoffman, who set up this website and wrote much of its content
has these words of rememberence about Woody.
My first impression of Woody is difficult to describe in a few words
because he was so unlike anyone I knew.
But at least three qualities stood out immediately:
brilliance, humor, and compassion.
His brilliance was not as much a function of what he knew --
though he was well educated and inquisitive -- as it was of how he
would question assumptions and make connections between things.
He knew how to think outside the box, as they say.

He had a high 'social IQ.'
His compassion was immediately apparent to me by his concern for
human rights issues that similarly concerned me.
We first met at the height of hostilities against indigenous peoples and
national liberation struggles in Central America in the 1980s,
and I think it was our shared concern for those issues that triggered
our first in-depth conversation.
Later, Hoffman went on to investigate the 9/11/01 attacks and
document evidence that the operation was the work of insiders.
In an attempt to uncover the truth
and thereby prevent more attacks of this kind,
he created the following three websites:
