Jim Hoffman Remembers Woody

Jim Hoffman, who set up this website and wrote much of its content has these words of rememberence about Woody.

My first impression of Woody is difficult to describe in a few words because he was so unlike anyone I knew. But at least three qualities stood out immediately: brilliance, humor, and compassion. His brilliance was not as much a function of what he knew -- though he was well educated and inquisitive -- as it was of how he would question assumptions and make connections between things. He knew how to think outside the box, as they say. By humor, I mean not just his inclination to make jokes and laugh, but his rare degree of humility and approach-ability. He was quite disarming with his unpretentious candor and attentiveness. He had a high 'social IQ.' His compassion was immediately apparent to me by his concern for human rights issues that similarly concerned me. We first met at the height of hostilities against indigenous peoples and national liberation struggles in Central America in the 1980s, and I think it was our shared concern for those issues that triggered our first in-depth conversation.

Later, Hoffman went on to investigate the 9/11/01 attacks and document evidence that the operation was the work of insiders. In an attempt to uncover the truth and thereby prevent more attacks of this kind, he created the following three websites:
